Abstrak


In tatisti to producing CPO (crude palm oil ) as the major commodities, palm oil industry also produces several types of potential byproduct for use as animal feed, the dregs of palm kernel cake (palm kernel meal) meso corp fibers (palm press fiber/PPF), sludge palm (plam sludge/PS) plam kernel meal frond/OFP), and palm midrib (oil palm trunk /OPT) obtained from palm oil plantation. With nutritional composition and relsative production lot. PKM potential as feed, ingredients, both for ruminants and non- rominants . although CRP can be used as animal feed, it turns out there is a problem found in PKM, PKM thet the quality varies depending on the content of PKM oil and coconut oil contaminants, as well as the amino acid content is not balanced. Water activity greatly affect the rate of many chemical reactions in the feed material and the rate of microbial growth. Water content and water activity affects the development of the chemical reaction and microbiological spoilage in food and feed. Food / feed dried or freeze dried, which have high stability in storage, usually range about 5-15% water content. Higher the water contents contained therein will be the higher the likelihood of PKM is quickly broken/ not durable. Based on research, it appears thet the water content contained in the samples tested duplo, contains a water content thet is not much different or can be said to be almost the same. It can be concluded thet the samples contain high levels of water in the test according to the standard ISO-0l 0008-1987. At the protein level research, it appears thet the samples containing CRP protein levels in accordance with established standards, ranging from 15-20%. The hinger levels of protein in the sample the bigger the potential of thet matter as protein source in animal nutrition
